This was the hot ticket for open house this year. It was a rare chance to see this much loved, iconic landmark before the multi-million pound redevelopment begins. It's one of my favourite London buildings, so it was a no-brainer for me. It turned out around 40,000 people felt the same! The queues stretched all the way back to Albert Bridge (aka the most beautiful bridge in London) and many were turned away after a few hours. Luckily, i f*cked up with the opening time thinking it was 9am, so rocked up at 8:20 and near to the front of the queue. When we realised it was an 11am opening, the man went foraging for coffee and croissants to fuel the wait. It was worth it.
