Shop Report - Anthropologie

A visit to Anthropologie is always a visual feast. As soon as you walk through the door, a wave of excitement washes over you, as you attempt to take in all that's on offer. There's a lot to see so make sure you plan enough time in - you could be there for hours! Now, it goes without saying that the product (everything from clothing to homeware and lots in between) is to die for, so be prepared to fall in love and spend some pennies! But, it's the gorgeous creative treatments that keep me going back again and again.

The talented in-store creative team source the materials and props for the displays and see the process through from concept to creation. It's the imaginative use of objects and unique ideas that give the store its signature style. The hand-made, crafted elements also give a real sense of the love and hard work in each display. All of these exquisite details are weaved throughout this three floor wonder emporium.

The shopping experience is further extended into the fitting rooms, where the customer service and flattering light form a seamless alliance. As you are led into the spacious rooms, your name is written on the door mirror, adding that personal touch.

So, head to Regent Street. Experience the store...be inspired.

Each of these cups was hand dipped in wax to create a wave of texture and colour, framing the cabinets of crockery.
the hand crafted, unique signage adds to the creative narrative that runs throughout the store.

The British Museum

The British Museum will never lose its charm to me. After walking through its grand entrance, you're hit by the mesmerising site of the sculpted ceiling and the wonderful shadows that bounce off every surface. I love visiting on a warm day when the air inside is thick and fuzzy, making the vast entrance feel kind of cosy. I sometimes visit just for this sight alone...

Udderbelly

Yes, this is another South Bank post people, but there is so much going on there, that I have to share it with you! So, you may, or may not, have noticed a giant, inflatable, purple cow tent next to the London Eye recently. Well, this strange sight is the Udderbelly Festival - offering 12 weeks of affordable entertainment from cabaret to comedy. Oh and yes, the beer garden is pretty cool too. Tables with personal beer taps...hard to say no to really!

a dedication to my vegetarian sister...

Festival Food

Feeling a little peckish after a Sunday stroll down the South Bank, i followed my nose towards the yummy smells at the back of the Royal Festival Hall. There, like a mirage, a cluster of the cutest looking food stalls greeted me, offering too much choice for someone in my stage of hunger (the more hungry i become the less capable of i am of making decisions!). Pulled pork, fish tacos, churros, oh man what to do?! But with eyes bigger than my belly, this visual treat of a stall had me hooked before i even saw the menu...
