The British Museum will never lose its charm to me. After walking through its grand entrance, you're hit by the mesmerising site of the sculpted ceiling and the wonderful shadows that bounce off every surface. I love visiting on a warm day when the air inside is thick and fuzzy, making the vast entrance feel kind of cosy. I sometimes visit just for this sight alone...

Udderbelly
Yes, this is another South Bank post people, but there is so much going on there, that I have to share it with you! So, you may, or may not, have noticed a giant, inflatable, purple cow tent next to the London Eye recently. Well, this strange sight is the Udderbelly Festival - offering 12 weeks of affordable entertainment from cabaret to comedy. Oh and yes, the beer garden is pretty cool too. Tables with personal beer taps...hard to say no to really!

Festival Food
Feeling a little peckish after a Sunday stroll down the South Bank, i followed my nose towards the yummy smells at the back of the Royal Festival Hall. There, like a mirage, a cluster of the cutest looking food stalls greeted me, offering too much choice for someone in my stage of hunger (the more hungry i become the less capable of i am of making decisions!). Pulled pork, fish tacos, churros, oh man what to do?! But with eyes bigger than my belly, this visual treat of a stall had me hooked before i even saw the menu...

Canal Cavalcade
What could be more British than spending a bank holiday by the canal with a beer? Little Venice came alive with patriotic festivities over the weekend culminating in beautiful canal boats all decked out, strutting their stuff down the river.
