The Giant Plug - Soho

An oldie but a goodie (around since 2001, changing colour most years)... Another cool and quirky design from the team at James Glancy Design. Go find it on Ganton Street...

Pop Up Soho Art Shop

There is nothing like a swift walk through Soho on lunch, to get the creative juices flowing again. Loved this new quirky pop up shop.

Back to reality

The first day back to normality (after a week of thinking that cake for breakfast and an alcoholic beverage by 11am is acceptable behaviour), is always difficult. So I stuck with cake for breakfast today... one step at a time, right?! That's why, when I spotted this Kate Spade stool a few months ago, in her pop up Covent Garden shop, it made me smile. I am obviously not the only one! Yes, I know that cake is not just for Christmas, but enough is enough! Bring on the New Year... Looking forward to it London!

London Lights

I love London by night, it feels kind of magical. These Christmas lights have made it feel even more beautiful.
Oxford Street
South Molton Street
Covent Garden...

Christmas Windows - Pt 3

Last, but certainly not least is Selfridges  with their 'Awake the child within' theme...and it definitely did! The festive windows encourage both adults and children alike to revel in the play time scenes. The attention to detail is fantastic, with every corner of the window offering little surprises. Definitely the one to see this Christmas!
I secretly want this Barbie chandelier!

Christmas Windows - Pt 2

Some more wonderful windows to feast your eyes on. Starting with Harvey Nichols fun and frivolous theme, with each window representing a famous Christmas song...accompanied by the actual music!
Fortnum & Mason's windows ooze class. A collaboration with The National Gallery sees the store reinterpret some of the classic paintings housed in the museum
A nod to a William Claesz still life...
...Canaletto's Venice...
and Hendrick Avercamp's  'A Winter Scene with Skaters near a Castle'
As well as framing some of their wonderful goodies to make a perfect picture
