Out of the mouths of babes...

Fell in love with this when I saw it. A 7 year old's proposal for economic reform...

Wahaca...new to Soho

I love Mexican food and I love fresh, wholesome ingredients, that's why I love Wahaca! So, I'm very happy to see the new Soho branch is now open on Wardour Street (so close it is going to be dangerous!). The food is yummy and authentic, the atmosphere buzzing and the tequila delicious. Love reading their menu...Mmmmm quesadilla!

Leake Street Tunnel

This was a great accidental discovery, which we came across trying to find The Old Vic Tunnels on Saturday. Guess where the entrance was...behind a graffiti camouflaged door, of course!

PLATFORM at The Old Vic Tunnels

When I heard about this play, set deep in The Old Vic Tunnels beneath Waterloo, I was really intrigued and simply had to get tickets. The play was a heart warming, modern-day love story set against the back drop of London, bringing together an unlikely group of people, who find friendship in an adventure that begins on the Bakerloo line.

This unique venue took audience participation to a new level, as the crowd followed the action from scene to scene, walking through the tunnels as if an extra in the play. The inventive sets transported you across London, through the underground to Tower Bridge, past cyclists and drunken zombies, all whilst walking through snowy streets following an ice cream van!! Even the interval bar organically became part of the next scene, prompting some surprised reactions from the crowd!
Over 100 volunteers came together to help make this community theatre project possible. It was wonderfully acted, with great song and dance numbers and plenty of laugh out loud moments (and maybe a tear or two...shhh)!

Not only was this an amazing piece of theatre but one of the best experiences I have ever had... and I don't say that lightly! The play managed to realistically capture daily life and all the great characters we come across in and around London. I walked away feeling incredibly uplifted and proud to live in this great city.

Temptation at Princi

The team at Princi have got it so right. How can anybody walk past a delicious sight like this, without giving in to temptation? Not sure why some of them are upside down...will have to ask my Dad (former baker/ permanent Italian!).

Kate Spade Pop Up Shop

I left it late, but I am so happy I managed to catch this pop up shop from Kate Spade. The iconic New York brand (founded by Kate Brosnahan and her husband Andy Spade), grew from Kate's desire to design the perfect bag (every woman's dream, right?!). The company now offers that fail-safe combination of fashion and lifestyle pieces.
Now, the product is great, but it was the gorgeous interior, that I fell in love with. I could have moved straight in! This was the last day for the pop up, but fear not, the brand are planning on opening a London store next Spring. Here is a taster of what to expect...

Rob Ryan - The Stars shine all day too

Last week, the man and me me dropped into the Air Gallery on Dover Street, to see the exciting new exhibition by the genius Rob Ryan. His new papercuts and screenprints (as well as a fab bag collaboration with Lulu Guinness) are just breathtakingly beautiful. These photos do not even begin to do them justice, so make sure you pop along to see them up close, before the exhibition ends on Nov 20th.
My favourite ever Rob Ryan piece...'Can we? Shall we?'
This gorgeous Lulu Guinness & Rob Ryan fan bag, is being auctioned off for charity on ebay.
